The annual Birds in Hats calendar is here and this year we're feeling 😍romantic😍. Each month features a pair of birds in hats from around the world known for pairing for life, elaborate mating rituals, or their fancy feathers.
Important notes:
Please add tracked shipping to your order if you are concerned about it arriving before Christmas, packages are shipped untracked as standard!
If you are based in Taiwan - please email me to order a calendar!
In March you'll meet the Red-capped Manakin of Central and South America, who shows off his yellow trousers with a fancy dance! In August, month 七夕 (Qīxì, Chinese Valentine's Day) we have a pair of Mandarin Ducks - renowned across Asia for their lifelong commitment (models of them are gifted to newlyweds to help bless their partnership!) For June we have the iconic duo Roy & Silo, 2 chinstrap penguins who found fame and love in New York's Central Park Zoo - and for December a pair of Northern Cardinals showing off their different, but equally beautiful, feathers!
As usual, all designs are hand-painted in gouache by me from my studio in Taipei, Taiwan :)
Specs:
We're using thicker card stock this year (210gsm), uncoated for easy writing and 100% recycled, with sturdy 450gsm covers. The calendar is just under A4 sized (270mm x 210mm) when closed, when opened it hangs from a nail or hook and so doubles in size, leaving plenty of room for all your notes and important dates. When the month is up - pull the bird out, trim the page and you have yourself an exclusive Birds in Hats print!
The calendars come wrapped and shipped in board-backed envelopes to protect them on their journey. Closed they measure 270 x 210mm, hanging and open they are approx 21cm across, and 54 cm down.
Note: The mini desk calendar won’t be available this year due to sourcing difficulties :’)
