A very special, gold foiled print of my original Shakespeare canvas painting. The Latin ‘Comumbae amicitias’ has been printed in special gold file to replicate the gold paint used on the original canvas.

One of the limited edition prints produced in conjunction for the ‘Pigeons of London’ solo-exhibition, held at We Built This City, 57 Carnaby Street throughout December 2019.

The original Cobbe painting this illustration is based on contains the Latin ‘Principum amicitias! ("The Friendships of Princes!") - Columbae is Latin for doves or pigeons, making this the first piece of Birds in Hats art that includes a joke in Latin (and possibly the last…)

Each A4 edition is limited to 50, signed, dated and titled by the artist in pencil along the bottom of the print. This print is only available in A4 as the canvas painting the print is based on is smaller than A3 and I don’t like to enlarge my illustrations larger than their original painting or drawing.

Prints are shipped securely board backed and wrapped in tissue to protect the print on its journey to you.
