'Emmeline Pankhurst' Pigeons of London Limited Edition Print

from £38.00

What’s better than a pigeon? A suffragette pigeon, that’s what.

One of the limited edition prints produced in conjunction for the ‘Pigeons of London’ solo-exhibition, held at We Built This City, 57 Carnaby Street throughout December 2019.

Emmeline Pankhurst was a key figure in the British Suffragette movement, born in Manchester in 1858. In 1908 she was arrested for the first time on Parliament Square whilst trying to deliver a protest resolution to Prime Minister H H Asquith. She was sentenced to 6 weeks in prison and when released spoke out against the cruel and tortuous conditions she witnessed in there.

Each A4 and A4 edition is limited to 100, signed, dated and titled by the artist in pencil along the bottom of the print.

Prints are shipped securely board backed and wrapped in tissue to protect the print on its journey to you.
